To ensure the continued operation and future expansion of the Harpenden team, we need to raise £10,000 to purchase two complete kits.
Typically, a kit includes an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to provide lifesaving treatment for certain cardiac conditions, a complete observation kit (to assist with getting patients' vital signs and following up on their aftercare), and an oxygen delivery system (tank and masks) to administer oxygen to patients who require it. In addition, CFRs are provided with a mobile phone with an application (the National Mobilisation App), which allows them to receive emergency dispatches, navigate to the casualty's location, and stay connected with ambulance control. A donation of £3,500 would give the Harpenden CFR team the means to acquire one kit plus a phone. Three kits would enable all three Harpenden CFRs to volunteer simultaneously, providing greater area coverage.
