Carefest - Stevenage

CareFest ‘24 is arriving at participating Hertfordshire libraries this June and the Harpenden CFRs will be there teaching CPR and use of a defibrillator.

Events are FREE and older residents & people requiring additional help with mobility and other needs, as well as their family and carers will be able to take part in the following:

• · Sample delicious food* from HILS (Health & Independent Living Support (*limited numbers available on the day)
• · Explore “try before you buy” aids & adaptations and receive personalised advice from an Adult Care Services occupational therapist
• · Pick up free activity aids to keep fit from Herts Sports Partnership and get tips on moving properly from a qualified Sports Therapist.
• · Gain the knowledge to perform life-saving CPR in emergencies.
• · Have their blood pressure measured for peace of mind.
• · Engage with an NHS Talking Therapist to enhance their mental well-being.
• · There will also be a representative from Carers in Herts, Small Act of Kindness bags to give out and more.
